Daycare for dogs can provide wonderful advantages for your pet. If a dog is sitting home alone all day it will get very bored and sleep a lot, or get very nervous and then bark, chew things and try to draw attention to itself. Dogs are natural pack animals. Although a dog is mans best friend, dogs prefer the company of other dogs. We provide a social active doggy environment which is good for your dog, its social skills, its exercise routine, and your peace of mind. Our experience tells us that your dog will be excited to get to daycare every day, for them this is doggy funtime.
Before your dog can participate in daycare you need to bring it in for evaluation in order us to check it out for social skills and aggression. Aggressive dogs will only cause problems for everyone in daycare.
We also need to see copies of all vaccinations. You can either bring them with you or have your vet fax them directly to us at 847 234 9810. All dogs need to have a collar (leather or webbing) with their name on it. Dogs cannot be left with choker or any similar metal collars.
In daycare we separate dogs into groups. Basically we put dogs of similar size and temperament together. However if your Yorkie prefers to play with Great Danes, we can accommodate that too. If your dog is a little older and prefers less activity during the day, we can accommodate it.
In their groups the dogs will run around, play chase, play fetch, and generally have active fun socializing with other dogs. All the time they will be supervised to ensure that their play is focused and lively.
Normally we will give your dog a nap and a snack in the afternoon to recharge its batteries. Naps will be in individual peaceful environments.
